What to check before choosing

Start with the engine manufacturer's required specification, then check the permitted viscosity grade and service interval. Petrol, diesel and hybrid engines can require different formulations even when the SAE grade is the same.

Use the exact product record and current technical data sheet to compare ACEA, API and manufacturer statements. A listed specification is not automatically an official approval; confirm the wording and the relevant engine requirement before ordering.
